Arrest made in murder of 16-year-old Texas City high school student, police say

TEXAS CITY, Texas — An arrest has been made within the homicide of a 16-year-old La Marque Excessive College soccer participant who was killed outdoors his residence in December.

Texas Metropolis police say 17-year-old Davion Kirkwood shot and killed Abraham Zapata throughout an alleged theft. Zapata’s household stated they have been shocked to be taught of the arrest.
