West Virginia to receive up to $4.8 million for livestock project
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — U.S. Sens. Joe Manchin and Shelley Moore Capito stated Thursday {that a} livestock administration venture at West Virginia College is about to obtain as much as $4.8 million in federal funding.
In a information launch, the senators stated the funding from the U.S. Division of Agriculture will present monetary and technical assist for Appalachian farmers and agricultural producers to assist the adoption of climate-smart practices and enhance advertising and marketing for grass-fed beef merchandise.
The college is partnering with Virginia Tech, Virginia State College, West Virginia State College, the West Virginia Conservation Company, the Soil and Water Conservation Division of Virginia’s Division of Conservation and Recreation, and Hickory Nut Hole on the venture.
