West Virginia Teacher of the Year finalists announced
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Ten finalists have been chosen for West Virginia’s 2023 Instructor of the 12 months, the state Division of Training stated.
The finalists had been picked from amongst every college district’s Lecturers of the 12 months and symbolize elementary, center and highschool educators from all areas of the state, the division stated in a information launch.
The finalists are Sarah Bailey of Buffalo Center Faculty in Wayne County, Lisa Bryant of Level Nice Main Faculty in Mason County, Charity Marstiller of Jefferson Excessive Faculty in Jefferson County, Amber Nichols of Eastwood Elementary Faculty in Monongalia County, David Patrick of DuPont Center Faculty in Kanawha County, Angel Reed of Fairplain Elementary Faculty in Jackson County, Shawna Safreed of Bridge Road Center Faculty in Ohio County, Cameron Shannon of Crescent Elementary Faculty in Raleigh County, Tanya Stewart of Gilmer County Elementary Faculty and Shari Tonkery of Lumberport Elementary Faculty in Harrison County.
The state Instructor of the 12 months and Faculty Service Personnel of the 12 months might be introduced on Sept. 13 throughout a ceremony on the West Virginia Tradition Heart in Charleston.
