Man from Virginia charged in West Virginia arson investigation

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A 21-year-old from Virginia has been arrested for allegedly setting fires at a house in Harper’s Ferry, the West Virginia State Fireplace Marshal’s Workplace confirms.

Yossef Stephen Fenaoui, of Aldie, Va., was taken into custody with help from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Workplace, round midday on April 25.

Investigators decided Fenaoui set a number of fires over a two-day interval between April 11 to April 12.

The fires occurred at a house on Sprouse Lane in Harper’s Ferry.

Fenaoui was charged with fourth-degree arson for trying to burn the home on April 11 and one rely of first-degree arson and one rely of first-degree housebreaking for the breaking and coming into of the house on April 12, in line with the W.Va. State Fireplace Marshal.

WVSFMO investigators estimate the injury to the brand-new house to be round $267,000.

The house was bought in February and is now a complete loss.

Fenaoui is being held on the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail on a $10,000.00 money or surety bond.
