A West Virginia restaurant is celebrating after its beloved “Weinerman” statue was returned.
The statue was stolen from Dairy Winkle, a restaurant in Charleston, Kanawha County, West Virginia, in line with a January 19 information launch from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Workplace.
The enterprise suffered a hearth on January 11. The restaurant proprietor reported that within the days after the fireplace, somebody broke into the constructing and stole the statue.
The treasured statue depicts a smiling anthropomorphic sizzling canine licking its lips and squeezing bottles of ketchup and mustard. The sheriff’s workplace described the figurine as a “cherished novelty of the enterprise” with a price of $1,000.
Sheriffs acquired a tip concerning the statue’s whereabouts and located it. The statue was safely returned, undamaged, to the Dairy Winkle, in line with the information launch.
On Fb, the restaurant’s proprietor expressed gratitude for the officers who helped return the statue. “Weinerman had been discovered and had been safely returned to the DairyWinkle,” reads the put up. “Thanks to the officers who returned him residence.”
A suspect has not been recognized and an energetic investigation is underway, in line with the sheriffs’ information launch.
