A Washington, D.C., man has been charged with attempting to rape a lady within the Paul S. Sarbanes Transit Heart in downtown Silver Spring early Thursday morning, Metro Transit police introduced.

Tiwan D. Candy, 38, allegedly tried to pressure himself on a lady and bodily assaulted her round 3 a.m. Thursday as she waited on the transit heart, police mentioned in a press release. After the sufferer yelled for assist, Montgomery County police responded. As soon as Metro Transit law enforcement officials arrived to the scene, transit police arrested Candy.

Candy was charged with tried first-degree rape, police mentioned. Court docket data indicated on Thursday that he was being held with out bond. No legal professional data was listed.
