Rockwall High robotics students visit Washington D.C., advocate for STEM funding on Capitol Hill

ROCKWALL, TX (July 20, 2022) Rockwall Excessive College college students from FIRST robotics competitors Workforce 1296, Full Metallic Jackets, lately attended the 2022 FIRST Nationwide Advocacy Convention in Washington D.C. to advocate for STEM funding (Science, Know-how, Engineering, and Math) on Capitol Hill to assist Title 1 colleges get funding. The convention was attended by EVP of Public Relations Isaiah Fosnight, EVP Robotic Operations Audrey Smith, EVP of Enterprise Operations Jackson Griffith, and VP of Scouting Carter deMoville. The convention was attended by 48 groups from 17 states, and 5 of these groups have been from Texas. The workforce was accompanied by Full Metallic Jackets Chairman’s mentor Danna Taylor and 1296 instructor sponsor Lane Doughtie.
