Alex Ovechkin will begin his 18th season with the Washington Capitals Wednesday in D.C. towards the Boston Bruins.

  • The 37-year-old scoring legend informed us how he begins his mornings for a day of success.

Get up: 7am, together with his alarm clock.

  • Ovi says he will get a powerful 9 hours of sleep — and tries to get in a nap in the course of the day, too.

💬 First individual he talks to: Anastasia Ovechkina, his spouse.

🚿 Very first thing he does: Bounce within the bathe.

🐶 First exercise: Feed his 7-year-old black Labrador Blake, and go on a stroll.

  • In 2012, Ovechkin purchased a five-bedroom colonial in McLean.

🧇 Breakfast: “I am not a giant breakfast man,” he says. “However what we’ve on the rink, I attempt to eat it. Eggs, pancakes, waffles.”

  • “I do not drink espresso. I do not like espresso.”
