26 Veterans return to Oregon after trip to Washington DC | KMVU Fox 26 Medford

MEDFORD, Ore.– 26 Veterans returned to Oregon after a free journey to Washington DC via Honor Flight of Oregon.

The veterans visited conflict memorials and every navy department’s museum.

The group even obtained a go to from Southern Oregon Congressman Cliff Bentz, who thanked them for his or her service.

4 veterans obtained to put a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Honor Flight of Oregon’s founder stated it was an emotional second for the group.

Founder Gail Yakopatz stated, “I believe once they get a little bit little bit of the historical past behind the ceremony, how our nation went out of their technique to convey their fallen brothers house, I believe it was fairly transferring for all of them.”

Lots of the guardians who went with the veterans on the journey, wish to volunteer for future journeys.
