Wahoos Weekly: When and Where to Watch the Virginia Cavaliers This Week

We have got one other action-packed week of Virginia Cavaliers sports activities on deck. Eight Virginia sports activities groups will likely be in motion for a complete of 13 UVA sporting occasions this week. 

Each the Virginia males’s and ladies’s tennis groups open up the autumn parts of their schedules this weekend. UVA ladies’s tennis hosts the Wahoowa Invitational from Friday via Sunday on the Virginia Tennis Facility on the Boar’s Head Resort. Virginia, Outdated Dominion, West Virginia, NC State, Illinois, Auburn, LSU, and Princeton will likely be represented with gamers competing individually in each singles and doubles play. The UVA males’s tennis staff will play on the Southern Intercollegiate event happening in Athens, Georgia from Friday via Sunday. Much like the Wahoowa Invitational, a number of Cavaliers will likely be competing individually towards gamers from Georgia, Texas, and USC. 

UVA cross nation opens its season with the Virginia Invitational at Panorama Farms in Earlysville on Friday. The boys’s 6k will start at 9:30am and the ladies’s 5k will comply with at 10:15am. 15 Cavaliers will compete within the males’s 6k and 11 UVA runners will take part within the ladies’s 5k. Virginia will compete towards runners from Duke, Pittsburgh, Miami, and Norfolk State. 

UVA volleyball performs the ultimate three matches of non-conference play this weekend at Memorial Gymnasium. The Cavaliers will host East Carolina and Mercer on Friday and Maryland on Saturday. 

Now ranked No. 9 within the nation, the Virginia subject hockey staff performs a pair of ranked opponents this weekend. UVA will likely be on the street on Friday at No. 21 Boston Faculty earlier than returning residence to tackle No. 13 Saint Joseph’s on Sunday in Charlottesville. 

Driving a two-match successful streak, the Virginia males’s soccer staff is ready to host Notre Dame in a Friday evening ACC conflict at Klockner Stadium. UVA will stay at residence to host American on Tuesday evening. 

Seeking to bounce again from the loss at Illinois, Virginia soccer hosts Outdated Dominion on Saturday at 2pm at Scott Stadium.

The Virginia ladies’s soccer staff, which slipped to No. 7 within the rankings after taking part in VCU to a 0-0 draw on Sunday, heads to Chapel Hill for a showdown with No. 2 North Carolina on Saturday evening. 

Contemporary off of a third-place end on the ANNIKA Intercollegiate event in Minnesota, the UVA ladies’s golf staff will play within the Mercedes Benz Intercollegiate on the Cherokee Nation Membership in Knoxville, Tennessee on Monday and Tuesday.
