Virginia Rowing Wins 12th Consecutive ACC Championship

For the twelfth consecutive season, the Virginia rowing staff has received the ACC Championship. The Cavaliers received 4 of the 5 grand finals on Saturday morning on Lake Hartwell at Clemson to seize their twentieth convention title within the final 21 ACC championship regattas.

In Friday’s preliminary races, UVA positioned first in 4 of the 5 heats. Virginia received the prelims within the Third Varsity Eight, Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, and Varsity 4 and completed second behind Duke within the Second Varsity 4.

In Saturday’s grand finals, Virginia edged Duke by practically six seconds to win the Third Varsity Eight title with a time of 6:39.820.
