Virginia Officer Kills Coyote After Several Attacks
SPRINGFIELD, Va. (AP) — A northern Virginia police officer fatally shot a coyote suspected of biting a number of folks after the animal additionally attacked him, authorities mentioned Sunday.
The Fairfax County officer was looking a wooded space for the coyote, which had reportedly bitten three folks within the neighborhood a day earlier.
The coyote bit the officer, who fired his gun to finish the assault, the division tweeted. The animal was discovered useless close by, and the officer was taken to a hospital for remedy.
On Saturday, the division had introduced it was investigating a report of three folks being bitten by a coyote at a park in Springfield. Not one of the three had life-threatening accidents, the division mentioned.
