Democrats in Virginia House of Delegates choose new leader

RICHMOND, Va. (WDBJ) – Democrats within the Virginia Home of Delegates have chosen new management.

In a vote Wednesday morning, they named Portsmouth Del. Don Scott to function the Minority Chief.

He was first elected to the Home of Delegates in 2019 and led the hassle to oust Del. Eilleen Filler-Corn after Democrats misplaced management of the chamber in elections final November.

Filler-Corn served as Speaker of the Home when the Democrats held the bulk, and served as Minority Chief till the vote in late April.
