College ring reunited with its owner 25 years after it vanished

A Virginia Tech alum received his faculty ring again over 25 years after it disappeared on campus.

John Leschinskey, who graduated from the college in 1997, misplaced it whereas enjoying volleyball in one of many Blacksburg, Virginia, college’s quad areas.

“I had set my sandals, shirt, watch, and ring by the publish in order that I may play. When completed, I went to assemble my issues and noticed that the ring was lacking,” Leschinskey advised the college. “My issues didn’t seem disturbed, so I assumed it was stolen.”

In January, a campus amenities crew renovating the courtroom’s drainage system noticed a small shiny object within the grime the place they have been working.

Tools operator Pat Saylors noticed an engraving with Leschinskey’s title and tracked him down on social media.

A number of messages later and the ring was within the mail on its technique to Leschinskey’s North Carolina residence.
