ABC13 receives recognition from Virginia Association of Broadcasters in 9 categories
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — ABC 13 is honored to notify our viewers of a recent announcement from the Virginia Association of Broadcasters for their 2023 awards.
On Friday, ABC 13 was notified of nine nominations, meaning we have been judged the winner or runner-up for the following categories.
- Best Station Promotion/Contest- WSET Best Station Promotion
- Best Public Service/Community Event- WSET Community Service
- Best in Investigative Reporting- “What Happened to Johnny?” by Noreen Turyn, Jeff Meyer
- Best Human Interest Series- People and Places with Will Stafford
- Best Commercial- Davis Boyz
- Best Television Morning Show- Good Morning Virginia
- Outstanding News Series James Crossing Apartments by Kelsey Childress
- Outstanding Newscast- ABC13 News at 6
- Outstanding Sports Coverage- Dave Walls, various
Awards will be presented at a convention in Virginia Beach in June.
