Three family members are dead following an altercation in Prince William County, Virginia, early Tuesday morning, police say.

Three family members are dead following an altercation in Prince William County, Virginia, early Tuesday morning, police say.

One of the three people who was stabbed called police at around 7:15 a.m. following an “altercation” inside of a Woodbridge home, Prince William County police said in a news release.

When officers arrived on the scene in the 5100 block of Cannon Bluff Drive, police said they found three people suffering from stab wounds.

A 70-year-old woman was pronounced dead on the scene.

A 67-year-old man, who called police, and a 38-year-old man were both transported to a hospital where they died from their injuries, police said.

Police said that they believe the fight happened in the home and that there is “no known threat to the community.”

None of the family members have been identified.
