Texas woman arrested in South Carolina tied to Utah ATM case

PROVO — A Texas lady who claims she was a part of a bunch that traveled across the nation trying to steal ATM machines has been linked to an incident in Utah.
On March 31, about 4:30 a.m., somebody tried to take or break into an ATM at Capital Group Financial institution, 3280 N. College Ave in Provo.
“When officers arrived, they noticed an empty truck however nobody was positioned. The officers noticed the truck, nonetheless working, was chained to an ATM and it appeared the truck was used to attempt to entry the ATM. The entrance portion of the ATM had been pulled/damaged into and the highest portion was opened,” in line with charging paperwork. No cash was taken.
Surveillance video confirmed three folks within the truck. However police have been unable to establish the trio and the case was closed, the costs state.
On Oct. 12, Provo police obtained a name from authorities in South Carolina saying they’d arrested a few folks for investigation of an ATM theft of their state. Whereas looking the cellphone of one of many arrested folks, Tyionna Chne Mortley, 19, of Houston, detectives discovered data that tied her to the Provo case, in line with the costs.
“GPS information confirmed her in Provo at 3289 N. College Ave on the day the ATM was damaged into. Mortley had said that she was the motive force for the group of males arrested together with her. Mortley was charged Monday in 4th District Courtroom with legal mischief, a second-degree felony; and two counts of theft, a third-degree felony.
It was not instantly recognized Monday if fees have been pending in opposition to another suspects.
