Central Texas teen dead after vehicle travels off road into river

GATESVILLE, Texas (KWTX) – A Gatesville teen is useless following a crash Saturday morning in Coryell County.

Texas Division of Public Security troopers had been referred to as to a report of a automobile crash at 2:06 a.m. Oct. 22 on Straw Mills Highway in Gatesville.

In accordance with troopers, a 2005 Nissan Altima was touring westbound at an unsafe velocity when the automobile traveled off the roadway inflicting it to roll over right into a river after happening an embankment.

The Nissan landed the other way up and submerged below water on its high.

DPS Investigators say George Christopher Hallman,19, was driving the Nissan.

Household tells KWTX Hallman was not behind the wheel.

Hallman was pronounced deceased on scene by magistrate 3 James Caldwell. Subsequent of kin have been notified.

The crash investigation remains to be energetic and open.
