Tennessee State football coach Eddie George wants to play Ohio State

Two weeks after scheduling a recreation at Notre Dame, Tennessee State soccer coach Eddie George is now zeroing in on his alma mater Ohio State.

TSU will open the 2023 season at Notre Dame.

George, who’s headed into his second season with the Tigers, frolicked this week at Ohio State and stated Friday he had spoken with Buckeyes athletics director Gene Smith about getting TSU on the schedule.

“I’d love that,” George stated. “That will be an exquisite factor: if I may come again within the stadium the place I performed, to educate (there) now. To grace the sidelines at Ohio Stadium as a coach can be phenomenal. I believe will probably be a terrific factor for the followers to see.”

George, a former Heisman Trophy profitable operating again at Ohio State, was a speaker on the Ohio State Coaches Clinic on the Woody Hayes Athletic Heart. He frolicked attending some Buckeyes spring practices whereas he was in Columbus.

TSU would be the first Traditionally Black School and College for Notre Dame to play. Ohio State performed Florida A&M, an HBCU, in 2013. The Buckeyes gained that recreation 76-0.
