Picks And Predictions For Week 16 vs. The Tennessee Titans

Bob Condotta, SeattleTimes: Seahawks 21, Titans 16

“This has the feel of being an unevenly played game — ugly, if you prefer — with the Seahawks likely showing some jet lag and the effects of a short week and long trip. But they also have some momentum and belief after a stirring win over the Eagles, and that should carry them here.”

Matt Calkins, SeattleTimes: Titans 24, Seahawks 21

“Tennessee has played tight with its past four opponents — and beat the AFC East-leading Dolphins. Road game after a Monday night for the Seahawks? It isn’t going to end with a victory in Nashville.”

Adam Jude, SeattleTimes: Seahawks 24, Titans 17

Shouldn’t matter who starts at QB for the Seahawks. Geno Smith and Drew Lock have plenty of firepower against a Titans team that has nothing to play for.”

Victoria Hernandez, USA Today: Seahawks 23, Titans 15

“Drew Lock showed last week that he has the leadership to will his team to a win. Even though they are at home, the Titans are nowhere near the caliber of the Eagles. Whether Geno Smith is healthy enough to return or Lock is given the reins again, Seattle should get a second victory as they keep their playoff hopes alive.”

“Seahawks backup quarterback Drew Lock had his moment against the Eagles, and could be in line to start Sunday in Tennessee. Seattle is traveling to Tennessee on a short week, but are playing for their playoff lives. It’s unclear which Titans team will show up at home on Sunday after getting eliminated from the playoffs last week.”

Jordan Mendoza, USA Today: Seahawks 21, Titans 17

“Seattle has new life in the playoff race after the win against Philadelphia. Tennessee is a team that shouldn’t be overlooked, but the Seahawks’ defense is able to limit Derrick Henry to get another win.”

Bill Bender, Sporting News: Titans 21, Seahawks 17

“Will Levis’ left leg injury isn’t as serious as it first appeared, but his status remains in doubt against the Seahawks. Seattle is coming off a short week and still lingering in the NFC playoff hunt. The Seahawks have lost four consecutive road games and Geno Smith (groin) is still dealing with an injury. That makes this game a toss up.”

Pete Prisco, CBS Sports: Titans 28, Seahawks 24

“Titans quarterback Will Levis injured his ankle last week in the loss to the Texans, so his status bears watching. Even so, I think with Levis or Ryan Tannehill at quarterback, the Titans can win this game. Seattle is on a short week, and even with Geno Smith back the Titans will find a way to win this one.”
