Upcoming book drive works to promote equal educational opportunity in South Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Every South Carolina students deserves a shot at equal educational opportunities, and one local foundation continuously works to level the playing field both in and outside of the classroom.

The Original Six Foundation was built off the concept of opening eyes, minds and words and a recent partnership with The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV) continues to support that mission.

In support of Original Six’s “My First Library” Campaign, SCDMV is asking anyone who can to make donations of new, early-reader books in collection boxes at all SCDMV branch offices in every county of the state.

The book drive runs from January 16 until March 1.
