SEC foes match up when the No. 20 Tennessee Volunteers (3-1) and the South Carolina Gamecocks (1-2) square off on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Neyland Stadium.

In their last game, the Volunteers won 45-14 over the UTSA Roadrunners. The Gamecocks’ last game ended in a 37-30 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Against the Roadrunners, Joe Milton led the Vols with 209 yards on 18-of-31 passing (58.1%) for two touchdowns and no interceptions. He also carried the ball five times for 89 yards and one rushing touchdown. Dylan Sampson totaled 139 rushing yards on 11 carries (12.6 yards per carry), scoring two touchdowns on the ground. He also had one catch for 20 yards. Ramel Keyton led the receiving charge against the Roadrunners, catching one pass for 48 yards and one touchdown.

Spencer Rattler threw for 288 yards for the Gamecocks against the Bulldogs, going 18-for-20 (90.0%) with three touchdowns and no interceptions. He added eight carries for 43 yards. Mario Anderson carried the ball 26 times for 88 yards (3.4 yards per attempt) with one touchdown. In the passing game, he added one catch for 10 yards. Xavier Legette caught five passes for 189 yards (37.8 yards per catch), scoring two touchdowns.

The Volunteers are favorites by double-digits (13 points) against the Gamecocks.
