South Carolina releases hype video ahead of 2023 season

There is a lot of hype for the football season to get started at South Carolina. Coach Shane Beamer has done a terrific job of bringing excitement and passion back to the Gamecock fan base. With quarterback Spencer Rattler back, and the fact the team went 2-1 down the stretch against top 20 teams, there is reason to believe the program is about to take another big step this year.

What can you do as a team to get fans excited for college football even though you aren’t playing this week? By dropping a hype video on social media, of course, and the Gamecocks did just that on Saturday morning.

The Gamecocks open up their season next week in Charlotte as they will take on No. 21 North Carolina. The game will feature 2 great quarterbacks, as North Carolina’s Drake Maye and Spencer Rattler can both throw the ball at an elite level.

The last time these 2 teams played was in 2021 in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl, and the Gamecocks won that game, 38-21. The Tar Heels lead the all-time series 35-20-4, but South Carolina has won 7 of the last 9 games.

Kickoff is next Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
