Over the last couple of years, South Carolina has been among the SEC programs that have most embraced the idea of bolstering a roster through the transfer portal. Don’t take that to mean they aren’t also a factor in traditional recruiting, though, because with Ethan Petry breaking out the way he did last season, it’s clear the Gamecocks are still in that game also.
This offseason, South Carolina brings in another strong transfer class, but there’s almost certainly going to be a couple of freshmen who are also ready to make a huge impact from the jump.
