Georgia will reportedly be without key offensive player vs. South Carolina
Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey will not play on Saturday vs. South Carolina, according to a report.
That’s according to On3’s Matt Zenitz, who notes that McConkey has not yet made his 2023 debut due to a back injury.

He caught 58 passes for 762 yards and 7 touchdowns a year ago. McConkey was named 2nd team All-SEC last season for his efforts.
His continued absence is a concern for the Bulldogs longterm, but Georgia’s passing game has still been solid in the early going. Entering Week 3, Mekhi Mews has a team high 102 yards on 6 catches. He’s also 1 of 4 Georgia pass-catchers who has a receiving touchdown so far in 2023.
McConkey is entering his 4th season in the program. He’s originally from Chatsworth, Georgia.
Georgia has won 7 of its last 8 meetings with South Carolina, including 3 in a row. The Bulldogs holds the all-time series record advantage, 54-19-2.
Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
