FIRST ALERT: Dense fog advisory in effect through morning commute

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Your Monday morning commute could take longer than regular due to dense fog.

The Nationwide Climate Service issued a dense fog advisory Sunday for a lot of the Lowcountry till 10 a.m. Monday.

The advisory contains Charleston, Berkeley, Dorchester, Colleton and Beaufort Counties, together with the waters off the coast.

The fog will create hazardous driving situations due to low visibility of a quarter-mile or much less.

In case you should drive, decelerate, use your headlights and ensure to go away loads of distance forward of you.
