Boeing slows final 787 assembly rate in South Carolina over parts delay

WASHINGTON, Dec 23 (Reuters) – Boeing Co (BA.N) on Friday mentioned it slowed manufacturing of its 787 Dreamliner in South Carolina after a components delay, however mentioned beforehand its supply and manufacturing outlook is unchanged

Boeing in October mentioned it was persevering with to provide 787s at a low fee, and “will steadily return to 5 airplanes per thirty days over time.” Boeing in August delivered its first 787 since Could 2021 after dealing with manufacturing issues.

The Federal Aviation Administration cleared the way in which for deliveries to renew after approving Boeing’s inspection and retrofit plan wanted to fulfill certification requirements in July.
