In Could of 2021, South Carolina police opened fireplace on a person sitting in his truck speaking to his mom after being referred to as to the scene for a wellness test. The person, Trevor Mullinax, survived, and has filed a lawsuit alleging the officers defaulted to “utilizing lethal pressure.” WCNC’s Kayland Hagwood stories.
