1 dead after single-vehicle crash in Orangeburg County

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly single-vehicle Orangeburg County crash that happened on Tuesday.

Troopers say the crash happened around 2:02 p.m. on Mims Lake Road at Sapphire Trail, around three miles west of Holly Hill.

The driver of a c was the only occupant and died on the scene, according to officials.

South Carolina Highway Patrol says the driver was traveling west on Mims Lake Road when they traveled off the left side of the road, hit an embankment and overturned.

We’ve reached out to the Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office for the identification of the driver.
