A mysterious creature is terrorizing an Oklahoma woman and her family by relentless pounding on their backdoor, and video has caught the freighting creature on camera.
Carol Dillin, of Oklahoma City, has fought tirelessly to unmask and stop the flying menace, but her efforts to end the nightmare it inflicts upon her night after night have failed.
‘It’s really frightening when you hear the bang,’ Dillin told News 4.
‘I thought somebody was hitting baseballs against the house. Then it started sounding like basketballs.’

Dillin’s life has become consumed by her unwavering obsession of discovering the identity of the nefarious winged creature tormenting her family.
She exhausts herself day and night, implementing various methods to ward off the flying foe.
She has set off bug bombs, used bug spray and put a cabinet and pillows in front of her door to barricade it for the past month, but the creature doesn’t quit.
She has turned off all lights to deter any insects but experts say that even the minuscule speck of light coming from her security camera can attract a moth.
‘There’s an owl there, an owl there,’ she said while pointing to two big fake bird statues.
‘And then here’s Harry,’ a fake skeleton she used to try to scare away the creature, which she showed off to Fox 59. ‘He’s supposed to be a scarecrow but nobody’s afraid of him.’

Micah Holmes of the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation proposed the creature could be a large moth, according to KFOR.
Alex Harman, an Oklahoma State University insect diagnostician, argued it is unlikely that the animal is a bat. Bats use echolocation and would be unlikely to fly into the glass, he said.
‘This is a good year for moths because it’s been pretty wet, for the summer,’ Holmes said to KFOR. ‘This is the time of year they’re out and trying to mate.’
The state of Oklahoma is also home to multiple species of large insects, including Luna, Sphinx and Polyphemus moths, which he claims it could be.
‘If it is a bat, keep in mind bats eat a lot of insects, mosquitoes and other things that we don’t like,’ Holmes told UPI.
‘Bats do serve a purpose and they won’t hurt you, either,’ he added.

Dillin is skeptical of the scientists opinion and continues to stick to her belief that it is a bat.
‘I’ve seen enough of the videos to know, because of the scalloped wings. You know, that’s a bat,’ Dillin said to Fox4.
She believes a moth would be repelled by the bug spray she applied to her back porch.
Dillin’s next resort is to enclose her back porch door and she said she plans to meet with contractors for estimates soon.
