Okla. State’s Evers opts out, starts NFL draft prep
Oklahoma State beginning defensive deal with Brendon Evers, who has been coping with an unspecified harm, on Thursday mentioned he’ll skip the remainder of the season and start getting ready for the NFL draft.
“Thanks Cowboy Nation for a few of the finest years a child might ask for,” Evers posted on Twitter. “… Generally God has a distinct plan than the one you initially thought.”
Evers, a sixth-year participant with 26 profession begins and 53 profession appearances, wrote that he had consulted together with his household and Oklahoma State’s coaches and medical workers.
He began 4 of the primary six video games for No. 11 Oklahoma State and appeared in 5, recording three tackles. Evers didn’t play towards Arkansas-Pine Bluff, and he was listed because the starter for Saturday’s recreation towards No. 20 Texas.
Junior Xavier Ross is listed as Evers’ backup, though Tyler Lacy has began two video games rather than Evers at deal with.
The 6-foot-2, 295-pound Evers doesn’t have an ESPN ranking for the NFL draft. He began all 14 video games in 2021, recording 21 tackles and three sacks for an Oklahoma State protection that ranked fifth nationally in yards allowed.
