Former Oklahoma State College President James Halligan has died, the varsity introduced Tuesday.

Halligan was the OSU president till 2002 and he led the college by tragedy when a airplane crash killed ten members of the Oklahoma State basketball household.

Halligan retired after which represented Stillwater within the Oklahoma Senate for eight years. He was 86 years outdated.

OSU president Kayse Shrum launched the next assertion Tuesday about Halligan:

“I used to be deeply saddened this morning to study former Oklahoma State College President Jim Halligan has handed away. He confronted and overcame many challenges as president of our beloved college, reversing a development of declining enrollment and resetting our future on a extra optimistic monitor.
