Hawkeye Basketball vs Oklahoma: How to Watch and Game Thread

Happy Thanksgiving Hawkeye fans! While we stuff our faces with turkey and our eyeballs with football, the Iowa Hawkeyes are set to hit the hardwood to kick off our weekend of feasting on Iowa athletics.

The Iowa men kick off the festivities with an afternoon tip against the Oklahoma Sooners as part of the Rady Children’s Invitational in San Diego, California. The Hawkeyes and Sooners kick off the tournament this afternoon with a second game set for Friday afternoon, pending the results of the matchup between Seton Hall and USC.

Iowa comes into the day at 3-1 after a bounce-back win over Arkansas State after they hung with #8 Creighton to the end. Now the Sooners bring a new challenge as they enter the day unbeaten at 4-0. Oklahoma is averaging nearly 89 points per game while only giving up fewer than 56. But the Sooners have yet to face a true challenger this season.

After cruising through wins over Central Michigan, Mississippi Valley State, Texas State and Texas-Rio Grande Valley, Oklahoma is now poised for their first power six matchup of the season against the Hawkeyes. This also marks their first trip outside of Norman.
