The maximum payment for a household of one is $281, $939 for a household of four, and $1,691 for a household of eight. An additional $211 is added to a household’s food stamps for each member after eight.
Around 16% of the Oklahoma population, or 650,600 people, receive food stamps in the state. The average payment for each household member per month is $183.
Payments are loaded onto an electronic benefits card each month. SNAP benefits can be used at participating grocery stores, farmers markets, or retailers.
