2-story home destroyed by fire in SE Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – A southeast Oklahoma Metropolis residence was destroyed by hearth early Saturday.

Oklahoma Metropolis Fireplace Division personnel have been referred to as at 6:21 a.m. to the 8800 block of South Hiwassee Highway, close to SE 89th.

“After we arrived on scene it was a two-story home that was completely consumed [in flames],” mentioned Shift Commander Sean Cobb.

Crews battled the blaze from outdoors due to the extent of the blaze. As soon as firefighters acquired the fireplace below management, they went contained in the residence and extinguished the remainder of the fireplace, Cobb mentioned.

The fireplace destroyed the home, in line with Cobb.

No firefighters or civilians have been injured, Cobb mentioned.

Data was not obtainable on whether or not anybody lived on the residence.

The reason for the fireplace remains to be below investigation.
