⚾ HBC Hammer 18u drop finale in Oklahoma tournament
UNION CITY, Okla. – The HBC Hammer
18u, formally the Hays Eagles Senior American Legion, misplaced their fifth-place
sport 13-3 in 5 innings to MVP 17u out of Norman, Oklahoma Sunday afternoon
on the Good Recreation Oklahoma Championships.
The Hammer (21-11) took the early
lead with a pair of runs within the first inning, however MVP answered with 4 within the
backside of the primary then added two within the second, three within the third and 4
on a grand slam within the fifth which ended the sport by run-rule.
Starter Tyson Jimenez (4-1) solely lasted
one inning, permitting 4 runs on six hits and suffered the loss.
Garrett Wellbrock and Bradyn Dreher
every had two of Hays’ six hits and each drove in a run.
The 15u and 16u Hammer groups had been
each off this weekend. The 15u hosts the 14u Hays Hammer journey crew in a
single nine-inning sport at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Hays Excessive College. The 16u Hammer
play a doubleheader in Nice Bend Tuesday. All three Hammer groups shut out their
seasons on the Excessive Elite Sequence on the Genesis Sports activities Advanced in Goddard this
weekend.
