Video footage shows moments suspect threatened motorists with fake gun in NC parking lot

ASHEVILLE, N.C. — New movies present the moments a person is accused of threatening and pointing a pretend gun a a number of at individuals in a North Carolina car parking zone.

Channel 9′s affiliate station, ABC Information 13, obtained new footage of what occurred when an Asheville man threatened individuals who had been sitting of their automobile with what on the time gave the impression to be a gun.

The Asheville Police Division instructed WLOS that a number of calls had been made to 911 round 1:40 p.m. on Jan. 31, reporting a person with a gun approaching, blocking, and damaging automobiles at a Citi Cease.

In surveillance digicam footage shared with Information 13, Harris is seen pulling into the gasoline station after the sufferer’s automobile. Harris then loops right into a pump stall. He then pulled a gun from his jacket, pointing it at a car with three passengers.

Sadiq Wayne Harris, 38, was later recognized because the suspect.

“Now he’s coming over to me,” the driving force could be heard saying. “He’s nonetheless bought the gun. Oh my God Almighty.”

Within the footage, two officers could be seen bolting throughout the freeway to the car parking zone. As soon as Harris sees them, he drops his weapon, takes off his jacket and lies on the bottom.

“Upon additional investigation, it was [determined to not be] an actual gun,” stated L.T. Diana Loveland. “It was actually a toy, though it did look actual to everybody throughout the car parking zone and with officers.”

Harris was arrested on scene and charged with false imprisonment, harm to non-public property, and assault by pointing a gun, in accordance with Information 13.
