Texas man and woman arrested in North Carolina after 10 dead dogs found in box truck – The Coastland Times

A Texas man and a girl have been charged with animal cruelty after deputies in North Carolina discovered 10 lifeless canine at the back of their rented field truck, authorities mentioned Thursday.

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields mentioned Scott Thomas McCaffrey, 48, and Tambra Lynn Clift, 50, of Weslaco, Texas, every have been charged with 10 felony counts of cruelty to animals, information shops reported. The 2 are being held on the Moore County jail beneath a $30,000 bond.

Attorneys have been appointed for McCaffrey and Clift, however neither was instantly out there for touch upon Thursday.

The sheriff’s workplace mentioned deputies have been notified on Tuesday that there have been a number of lifeless canine at the back of the truck within the Seven Lakes space of West Finish. McCaffrey and Clift have been recognized because the operators of the truck and the ten canine died due to negligence, investigators mentioned.

Two of the canine have been despatched to a lab at North Carolina State College to find out the reason for dying.
