At present, the Home of Representatives voted 68-47 to go Home Invoice 50, the Home companion invoice to Senate Invoice 40 that repeals the permit-to-purchase a firearm requirement. HB 50 eliminates the redundant background examine. 

As beforehand reported, the Nationwide Instantaneous Felony Background Test System (NICS) is already in place to do background checks and immediately gives that info to firearm sellers. A NICS examine is finished immediately, whereas a permit-to-purchase software can take as much as 30 days.
