North Carolina Supreme Court rehears voter ID case
RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) — The North Carolina Supreme Courtroom will revisit a case surrounding voter ID necessities.
That is the second case the GOP stated they might rehear since taking on in November.
Republican candidates gained each Supreme Courtroom races on the poll in November, taking the courtroom from a 4-3 Democratic majority to a 5-2 GOP majority.
However in December earlier than the brand new justices took their seat the courtroom dominated the 2018 Voter ID regulation was unconstitutional and violated the rights of Black voters.
GOP attorneys are asking justices to revisit that call right now.
This comes after they reheard one other case yesterday centered on redistricting voting maps.
