North Carolina medical helicopter crashes, 4 people survive despite ‘severe damage’

A affected person and three crew members onboard a North Carolina medical helicopter that crashed close to the state border with Georgia have managed to outlive regardless of the plane struggling “extreme injury,” officers say. 

The crash in Burningtown, west of the Macon County Airport, occurred Thursday night time round 7 p.m. 

“The plane was transporting a affected person and three crew members and was enroute from a medical facility in Murphy, N.C. to Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C.,” Macon County Emergency Providers stated in a press release.

“Three people concerned had been transported by floor ambulance to Mission Hospital with minor to average accidents and one affected person was transported to Angel Medical Middle for analysis,” the assertion added. “There have been no fatalities and no hearth though the plane sustained extreme injury.”

A photograph launched by first responders confirmed the wreckage of the helicopter blocking a highway in a wooded space. 

“A piece of Center Burningtown Highway might be closed till no less than late day on Friday as investigators sift by means of the wreckage and work to find out the reason for the accident,” Macon County Emergency Providers stated.
