NC State hosts dozens of teams in two-session 7-on-7 event
Raleigh, N.C. — NC State football hosted its annual high school football 7-on-7 event on Thursday, with two sessions that featured dozens of teams from North Carolina and nearby states.
The first session began at 11:00 A.M. and included Chambers, Central Cabarrus, Northwest Cabarrus, Wake Forest, Mallard Creek, Clayton, Broughton, Willow Spring, Randleman, Ravenscroft, Eastern Wayne, Northeastern, Jordan, Sanderson, Enloe, Vance County, Providence Day and Kings Mountain among in-state teams.
Several of the state’s top college prospects and state championship contenders were there, and the day later moved on to the afternoon session, which began at 5:00 P.M.
That session also featured plenty of talent, as teams like Weddington, Cleveland, Heritage, Apex, Cary, Chapel Hill, Green Level, West Carteret, Knightdale, Southeast Raleigh, Hillside, Garner, Apex Friendship, South Granville, ALA-Johnston, North Pitt, Franklinton, Hobbton, Wake Christian and Midway.
