NC band students threatened by man with shotgun at Christmas parade
JACKSON, N.C. — College students marching in a small city Christmas parade in Jackson, North Carolina, had been harassed on Saturday, in accordance with the city’s chief of police.
Police Chief John Younger advised WRAL Information college students performing within the parade reported {that a} man with a shotgun threatened them as they marched on Saturday.
In keeping with Younger, the person uttering the threats was not within the crowd however on the porch of a home that lined the parade route.
No suspect has been arrested, and no warrants have been issued, Younger stated. The investigation is ongoing.
The band director who leads the group posted on Fb that the group was a center college dance staff and drumline. He stated the person was complaining the group was too noisy.
The police chief stated Jackson’s mayor and different elected officers have been notified.
Jackson is a city in Northampton County, near the North Carolina-Virginia line and east of Roanoke Rapids.
