Mother and stepfather of missing 11-year-old North Carolina girl arrested after allegedly waiting 3 weeks to report her disappearance

Police in North Carolina arrested the mom and stepfather of a lacking 11-year-old lady as investigators broaden the search throughout land and water. 

On Saturday, the Cornelius Police Division introduced the arrest of Diana Cojocari, 37, and Christopher Palmiter, 60, for failure to report the disappearance of their 11-year-old daughter Madalina Cojocari.

In accordance with police, Madalina was final seen in her Cornelius, North Carolina, house on Nov. 23 however was not reported lacking till Dec. 15. 

On Monday, police stated they had been working with the FBI and the state bureau of investigation to comply with their “many leads” within the case, sharing pictures of search efforts at a neighborhood lake.

The sixth grader was final seen sporting denims, pink, purple and white Adidas sneakers, and a white t-shirt and jacket, police stated.

The younger lady is described as being 4’10” tall, weighing 90 kilos, with brown hair and brown eyes, police stated. 

Police have shared pictures of Madalina, writing that she loves horses and consuming ice cream.

Police stated the search is an lively investigation and requested anybody with any info to contact the Cornelius Police Division.
