The Tar Heels have reached 44 of the final 47 NCAA Tournaments. UNC has participated in two NITs in that span: 2003 and 2010. Carolina’s NIT look in 1974 was the final season wherein just one crew per convention was allowed within the NCAA Match, so the NIT carried great status. In all, UNC has performed in six NITs, successful it in 1971.
