First-of-its-kind $7 million burn center in Western North Carolina set for August opening
JULY 27, 2023 – Mission Health is set for the August opening of Mission Hospital’s Burn, Wound, and Hyperbaric Center — a $7 million investment, to feature 14 exam rooms, procedure rooms, physical and occupational therapy, hydrotherapy and two hyperbaric chambers – with plans to expand. It will be the first of its kind in Western North Carolina, enabling burn patients to no longer have to travel hours to what were before the closest burn units. (Photo credit: WLOS staff)
