Blue Ridge Building Capital acquired Matthews Sand & Gravel and Edge Aggregates, a pair of North Carolina-based building materials-producing firms.

As a part of the transaction, Blue Ridge Building Capital mixed Matthews Sand & Gravel and Edge Aggregates into Matthews-Edge Sand, a single entity that can serve the market in and round Raleigh, North Carolina, with building aggregates.

Matthews Sand & Gravel, based in 1963, was primarily based in Smithfield, North Carolina. The corporate traditionally provided asphalt sand and concrete sand to Raleigh.
