Duke Energy wins 55K-acre offshore wind lease in North Carolina

Duke Power Corp. bid $155 million to safe the federal lease for 55,154 acres within the Atlantic Ocean 20 miles off Bald Head Island southeast of Wilmington to develop what might be as a lot as a 1.6-gigawatt wind mission.
