Atlanta Hawks head coach Nate McMillan obtained an important honor on Friday afternoon. Town of Raliegh, North Carolina, formally named the health club at Lions Park Group Middle the Nate McMillan Gymnasium.

As you can count on, the basketball legend was handled with a hero’s welcome. Pals, household, and neighborhood leaders confirmed as much as pay gratitude for every part McMillan has achieved for town over time.

McMillan spent lots of time throughout his adolescence on the Lions Park Group Middle. He went on to star at North Carolina State and ultimately the Seattle SuperSonics, the place he earned the nickname “Mr. Sonic.” When touring the world, McMillan all the time carried the teachings and rules he realized in Raleigh wherever he went.
