Suspect arrested after 7 fires set across Mississippi capital city, including at churches and field at Jackson State University

Authorities have arrested a suspect in reference to seven fires set throughout Mississippi’s capital metropolis early Tuesday.

Not less than two of the buildings set ablaze in Jackson have been church buildings; one was burned to the bottom. One other hearth broke out on fences surrounding the baseball apply discipline at Jackson State College, a traditionally Black public college. No accidents have been reported.
